Fu Tea (茯茶) originated in Jingyang, Shaanxi during the Tang Dynasty and flourished as the most prized tea along the ancient Silk Road. Genshe (根社) carries this legacy forward, honoring the craft of Jingyang Fu Tea as a living cultural treasure.

Master Artisan Craftsmanship

Every brick in the Royal Reserve Collection is handcrafted by Master Jia Genshe using traditional pressing techniques passed down through generations. The process — from leaf selection, steaming, and pressing to the critical "flowering" fermentation stage — is executed entirely by hand, ensuring each brick is a unique, numbered work of art.

15 Years of Dry Aging

Aged for 15 years in the natural climate of Jingyang, Shaanxi, the Royal Reserve undergoes a slow, dry-aging process that transforms the tea's character year by year. Over time, the flavor deepens from fresh earthiness to complex notes of aged wood, dried fruit, and medicinal herbs, while the liquor transitions to a brilliant translucent orange-red. Time is the most essential ingredient.

The Golden Flowers (金花)

The hallmark of premium Fu Tea is the presence of Eurotium cristatum — known as "Golden Flowers" (金花). These naturally occurring probiotic colonies appear as golden-yellow clusters within the tea brick, developing only under precise temperature and humidity conditions during aging. Rich in beneficial enzymes and antioxidants, Golden Flowers are the living signature of an authentic, high-quality Fu Tea.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: Brilliant translucent orange-red liquor. Aroma: Complex layers of aged wood, medicinal herbs, dried fruit, and subtle earthiness. Palate: Exceptionally smooth, mellow, and full-bodied with a long, naturally sweet finish. Aftertaste: Lingering warmth and sweetness that evolves with each steep.

How to Brew

• Boil: 1:20 tea/water, boil 2 min, steep 3–5 min.
• Steep (gaiwan/pot): 1:25–30, rinse first, steep 1–2 min.
• Thermos: 1:20, fill with boiling water, wait 8–10 min.
• Mix: Add milk or honey, or serve iced.

Key Rules

• Always use boiling water (100°C).
• Rinse the leaves briefly before brewing.
• Avoid if pregnant, have insomnia, or kidney issues.
• Drink after meals, not on an empty stomach.

How Many Times?

• Steep: 10–15+ rounds.
• Boil: 2–3 more pots (extend time each boil).
• Thermos: 2nd steep only (3rd is weak).

When to Stop

Keep going while the tea is orange-red, clear, and rich. Stop when it turns pale and watery.
